The former 1st round pick is set to be a Panther for the next two seasons

Lost in the mix throughout Draft weekend, the Panthers have decided to pick up MY BOY’S 5th year option.

Horn is slated to make roughly $12.4 million in 2025, fully guaranteed. Horn has been an absolute stud and graded as one of the best corners in the NFL, while he is on the field. He’s only played in 22 games in three seasons due to injury, something that has hindered every season of his. After an amazing start to his rookie season, he suffered a broken foot and missed the rest of that campaign. Then, in 2022, he played in 13 games but suffered a broken wrist that forced him to miss time as the Panthers pushed for a playoff spot in a bad NFC South. Last season, Horn dealt with a variety of injuries and only played in 6 games.

Hopefully, Horn can get back on track this season and play the majority of games, because at the moment he’s one of two or three franchise cornerstones on defense. I loved the pick in 2021 and I believe he is an All-Pro talent when healthy. What are your thoughts, Panthers fans?
