The G4D Tour for the first time at PGA Tour

The expansion of the Golf for Disabled (G4D) Tour, a circuit of competitions reserved for the world’s top disabled golfers, continues.

Founded in 2022, the G4D Tour has so far been held as part of select dates on the DP World Tour.

Now, thanks to a strategic alliance between the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour, it will be played for the first time in the United States.

The debut will take place on April 29th and 30th at the TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, the site of the CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

Commenting on this announcement, American Chris Biggins, a player on the G4D Tour and former winner of the Disabled Open Golf Championship in the United States, said: “I am more than thrilled that the G4D Tour is heading to the United States and to the PGA TOUR. The G4D Tour has already changed my life. The Tour has grown every year, and with this huge step, it will surely soar even higher.

Being able to play in a G4D Tour event in front of a home crowd is simply a dream come true. Not to mention that the CJ CUP Byron Nelson is a competition I’ve followed since I was a kid. I am especially excited about the opportunity to show Americans just how incredibly impressive G4D Tour golfers are. The talented golfers I’ve had the chance to compete with are a sight to behold. I hope this event inspires the next generation of American athletes to play golf.”

The competition will be played on gross scores. The participants will be eight male golfers plus two female golfers selected from the top of the World Rankings for Golfers with Disabilities (WR4GD).
