Braun Strowman is reportedly replacing Roman Reigns in the WrestleMania 36 match against WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg, according to PWInsider and Wrestling Observer Radio.
As noted, Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported on Thursday that Reigns backed out of the match because he didn’t feel comfortable competing at the WWE Performance Center during the coronavirus pandemic because he is immunocompromised due to his battle with leukemia. Reigns was reportedly at the Performance Center when he made the decision not to wrestle.
Strowman vs. Goldberg was taped this week and it’s believed that an angle to hype the match was filmed at the Performance Center, which will be edited into tonight’s SmackDown on FOX broadcast.
