Former Raider Aldon Smith will mentoring the Jaguars as well

Former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Aldon Smith had an excellent start to his career. In his first season, he had 15 sacks after being drafted in the top ten of the 2011 NFL draft.

After that season, things went downhill for Smith, haunting his progress. He has had his trials and tribulations during his career. He was in and out of the NFL, dealing with issues off the field that kept him from reaching his highest potential.

With his NFL career behind him, Aldon Smith wants to give back and help young players avoid following his path. He will be mentoring the Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars this season. Jacob Infante of Windy City Gridiron has the story of Smith’s new project.

After a release from prison in 2023, Smith retired from football and started a new brand by the name “I.M. Loading…” The “I.M.” part of the platform stands for “Intelligent Movement,” indicating that the more intelligent moves you make in life, the more likely you are to become the future person you want to be. The “Loading” aspect will either be a podcast or documentary surrounding his story and is meant to represent the fact that we, as human beings, always have room to grow.

It is great to see Smith give back after all the issues he has faced recently. Hopefully, players can learn from their mistakes and have long careers in Las Vegas.
