Joanderson Brito kicked his way into a bloody — yet unusual — UFC 301 win.
Brito defeated Jack Shore in the preliminary card headliner on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro after opening up a massive gash on Shore’s leg with a gnarly series of kicks. After thorough examination by a ringside physician, Shore was deemed unable to continue midway through the second round, with the broadcast later explaining that the doctor felt Shore could’ve broken his leg.
