Getting out of September at least 2-2 would be a nice start to Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks career, wouldn’t it?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

We asked, you answered! It’s time for another offseason edition of Seahawks Reacts!

Our first question was focused on the first month of the regular season and what Seattle’s record would look like. The Seahawks start out with the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions. Putting it another way: a pair of non-playoff teams with minimal expectations of the playoffs this season, followed by a pair of playoff teams with Super Bowl aspirations this season. Unsurprisingly, most of the respondents believed 3-1 or 2-2 would be the Seahawks’ record through September.

I hope the 1% are extremely wrong. I can see 1-3 but going 0-4 means something has gone off the rails.

Next (and last) is the offensive line; more specifically, the starting guards. Christian Haynes is a third-round rookie who was one of the top guards in the draft, Anthony Bradford got significant playing time last year in his rookie season, and then you have the veteran Laken Tomlinson as the potential starting left guard.

Who will the starting guard combo be? It was a tight call between Tomlinson and Haynes (LG/RG) and Haynes and Bradford (LG/RG).

The “other” may indicate Sautoa Laumea getting a starting job at guard, or… someone not on the roster getting the call? You never know.

That’s it for this week’s survey! We’ll reconnect next month.
