What do our fans think?

We’ve got the results of this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey that we put up a few days ago, so let’s take a look at what our readers think of what the Minnesota Vikings did in last week’s NFL Draft.

The first question that we asked was a simple one: Were the Vikings “winners” or “losers” in the 2024 NFL Draft? The consensus was pretty overwhelming.

Of those who responded to our poll, 94% of them said that the Vikings were a winner in last weekend’s selection meeting. The other 6% are, presumably, fans of other NFC North teams who decided to vote in this week’s poll.

But, seriously, even though I know we’re biased it’s hard to class the Vikings as a “loser” in this year’s Draft. They got what will hopefully be their quarterback of the future and a player that was, by most measures, the consensus best defensive player on the board in the first round and got themselves some solid prospects on Day 3 as well.

Speaking of that, we asked you all which of the Vikings’ five non-first round picks you’re most excited to see in this year’s offseason program and Training Camp. We got a majority here as well.

Of those who took the time to answer our poll questions, 52% of them said that they were the most excited to see Khyree Jackson, the team’s first pick on Day 3 and a first-round selection. 23% of respondents said they were most excited about kicker Will Reichard, while 14% chose the Vikings’ last pick in the draft, defensive lineman Levi Drake Rodriguez. The two offensive linemen the Vikings selected, Walter Rouse and Michael Jurgens, checked in with 8% and 3%, respectively.

Personally, I cast my vote for Rodriguez. At this point, I’m probably unreasonably optimistic about this young man’s chances. Perhaps the “Prospect X” stories from Kalyn Kahler at The Athletic have influenced my perception a bit, but I really want to see what he’s capable of against this level of competition. The Vikings need some attitude on the interior of their defensive line and hopefully Rodriguez can provide that.

Those are the results from this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey about the Minnesota Vikings, folks. Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate!
