SB Nation Reacts Results: Texans right for not trading into Round 1?

The Houston Texans didn’t trade back into the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Was that the right decision?

The 2024 NFL Draft started last night, but the Houston Texans did not welcome any new players to the squad.

The Texans traded out of the first round earlier this month with the Minnesota Vikings, so the team has two second-round picks instead.

There were whispers and rumors surrounding the Texans possibly trading back into the first round from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, but a trade never materialized.

However, fans aren’t too perturbed about not trading back into the first round. From a survey we conducted over the past day or so, 86 percent of fans were content with the decision not to trade back into the first round of the draft.

The Texans have plenty of opportunities to improve their team this weekend, beginning with a pair of picks in the second round, including No. 42 overall.
