Sami Zayn will return for WWE’s Holiday Tour

WWE ran an angle on the Dec. 4 Raw that saw Drew McIntyre attack Sami Zayn’s knee, during a match between them and afterwards backstage. The following Monday, we were informed that Zayn suffered a partially torn meniscus and that he’d be out of action for the foreseeable future.

In between those two episodes of television, we got a report that this was done to give Sami some time off he’d requested. It looked that time off would stretch into the new year, as he wasn’t even being advertised in his native Quebec… where we were reminded at this year’s Elimination Chamber that he’s pretty popular.

But in posts on X this morning (Dec. 26), Zayn informed us he will be making it to Laval/Montreal on Thursday — and a week’s worth of stops on WWE’s Holiday Tour. He also reflected on his “remarkable year” after a “crazy and in some ways difficult time” for him personally:

We’ll see if this means he’ll be back on Raw soon (like next Monday’s Day 1 show, where McIntyre will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight title), or if he’ll miss more TV to help sell Drew’s beatdown.

Either way… welcome back, Uce.
