The Ryder Cup is a prestigious golf tournament held every two years and pits two teams against each other: one representing the United States of America and the other Europe. The competition is named after Samuel Ryder, an English businessman who donated the trophy in 1927.

The Ryder Cup is characterized by a particular format, which includes a series of singles, doubles and fourball matches. The competition takes place over three days and involves some of the best golfers in the world.
