LA has looked good at stretches of this game and struggled at others. Which team will come out in the second half?

The Los Angeles Rams lead the New Orleans Saints by a score of 17-7 at the end of the first half.

The game began with the Saints on offense after LA won the coin toss, and elected to kickoff. Derek Carr came out finding receiver Chris Olave early to move the chains while putting the Saints offense in a groove on their first drive. LA’s defense was able to make a stand and pushed New Orleans back with a sack. The Saints punted to LA after what looked like a promising opening drive.

The Rams moved the ball well on their first possession. Matthew Stafford connected with receivers and Kyren Williams ran hard while the offensive line was showing great effort. The drive wasn’t perfect, the results were though as Stafford connected with Puka Nacua for a touchdown and the first points of the game. After the Lucas Havrisik extra point, the Rams led 7-0.

On their second drive, the Saints moved the ball a bit, but did not convert on a fourth down around mid field. LA had a chance to go up two scores with over 13 minutes remaining in the second quarter. LA got into the red zone again, but this time settled for a field goal. The Rams led 10-0 with about 10 minutes remaining in the half.

The Saints didn’t do much on their third offensive drive, as they were forced to punt for their third time in a row. LA moved the ball into scoring position for their third time in a row, but this time, Havrisik missed the field goal. The score stayed 10-0.

The Saints took advantage with a long touchdown. LA still led, but the score was now 10-7 with about two minutes remaining in the half. The Rams didn’t do much on offense and punted it back to the Saints who now had a chance tie or take the lead before the half came to a close.

LA’s defensive stopped the Saints on fourth down again, and LA had a chance to add to their lead with about one minute remaining in the half. LA capitilized with a touchdown after Stafford found Demarcus Robinson. After the successful extra point the Rams lef 17-7.

The lead stayed 17-7 as the first half comes to close. Let’s see what happens in quarter three and four.
