The second and third rounds are tonight, who will join Xavier Legette in the ‘24 draft class

The Carolina Panthers jumped into the bottom of the first round last night for the seemingly controversial selection of Xavier Legette. That leaves them with two day picks at nos. 39 and 65 overall. The good news for the Panthers is that last night’s record setting six quarterbacks in the first 12 picks pushed down a lot of talent at wide receiver, center, and across the board on defense.

Here are the top names I’m hoping might fall a little further (either to 39 or miraculously to 65), organized by position and not talent. With twelve names on this list and only six picks to go before the Panthers select again, at least half of these players will be available for the Panthers if Dan Morgan sticks around at that pick. Not all of them might be worth it, but all of them would definitely be able to contribute to the 2024 Carolina Panthers.

  1. Jackson Powers-Johnson, Center, Oregon
  2. Zach Frazier, Center, West Virginia
  3. Cooper DeJean, Cornerback, Iowa
  4. Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cornerback, Alabama
  5. Mike Sainristil, Cornerback, Alabama
  6. Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois
  7. Braden Fiske, DT, Florida State
  8. Kris Jenkins, DT, Michigan
  9. Edgerrin Cooper, Linebacker, Texas A&M
  10. Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia
  11. Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon
  12. Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

Let’s a run a quick survey here to see what position group y’all want to see addressed most tonight, then sound off in the comments on your favorite remaining prospects.
