on

Liam Pitchford & Paul Drinkhall went out of the Men’s Doubles at the Singapore Smash as their opponents fought back from 2-0 down.

The No 1 English pair were seeded eighth and were up against Jakub Dyjas of Poland and Belgium’s Cedric Nuytinck in the last 16.

It all looked good for Pitchford & Drinkhall as they took a 2-0 lead, but their opponents wrestled the initiative in their favour and won the next three, with the English duo unable to engineer any match points across.
