Paula Badosa has announced that she and Stefanos Tsitsipas have decided to go their separate ways after a year of being together.

In the last year, Badosa, 26, and 25-year-old Tsitsipas were often spending time together and regularly posting about their activities and even created an Instagram account named “Tsitsidosa.”

On more than one occasion, Tsitsipas declared Badosa his “soulmate” and someone who changed his life for the better.

Also, Badosa and Tsitsipas said multiple times having one another was motivating them to achieve their biggest tennis goals together.

But now, Badosa and Tsitsipas are no longer dating. However, in her message, Badosa said she and Tsitsipas split on good terms.

“After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways. We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths,” Badosa wrote on her Instagram Story.

“We are grateful for the support of our friends, family, and all who have been part of our story. As we transition into this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other nothing but the best in all our endeavors. We kindly ask for privacy during this time, and we thank you for your understanding and respect.”

Badosa, 26, and 25-year-old Tsitsipas were spotted together for the first time during last year’s French Open when the Spanish tennis star was spotted watching one of the Greek’s matches. Shortly after, Badosa and Tsitsipas confirmed rumors and became tennis’ most popular couple.

We are soul mates. That’s how it should be defined. It is very rare that you find your soul mate. If you ask Paula, she’ll tell you exactly the same thing,” Tsitsipas said in one of his interviews from last year.

Meanwhile, both Badosa and Tsitsipas are slated to play next week in Rome.
