Now that Cooper DeJean and Graham Barton are off the board, who do you believe is the most likely player to be Green Bay’s first-round choice?

Over the past few days, we’ve been able to use the ESPN Draft Day Predictor to narrow down who is expected to be on the big board for the Green Bay Packers with the 25th overall pick. From there, we’ve been running polls on which prospect you believe general manager Brian Gutekunst would take in these scenarios.

In the first edition of our polls, Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean, who can play cornerback or safety, ran away with 43 percent of the vote, over three times as much of a draw as any other prospect out of the 11 available options. In the second set of this exercise, which excluded DeJean from the choices, Duke offensive lineman Graham Barton actually beat out Washington’s Troy Fautanu — who had more votes than Barton in our first poll.

Below is the full voting results from our second poll:

  • Duke OL Graham Barton: 30 percent
  • Washington OL Troy Fautanu: 20 percent
  • Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry: 19 percent
  • Georgia OL Amarius Mims: 14 percent
  • UCLA EDGE Laiatu Latu: 5 percent
  • Oregon OL Jackson Powers-Johnson: 4 percent
  • Illinois DL JerZhan Newton: 3 percent
  • Clemson CB: Nate Wiggins: 3 percent
  • Penn State EDGE Chop Robinson: 2 percent
  • Missouri EDGE Darius Robinson: 1 percent

In the third poll, I’m expecting a tight race between Fautanu, McKinstry and Mims. Personally, I’m surprised that Mims isn’t drawing more of the vote, considering that the Packers brought him in on a pre-draft visit — which Green Bay has used frequently to tip their hand on draft picks over recent seasons. Maybe fans are spooked at taking another Georgia player in the first round or don’t like the injury history that led to Mims’ limited snaps in college, but the recent news that the Packers view Zach Tom as a potential Hall of Fame center makes me think they’ll look at addressing right tackle early in the draft.

What do you think? Vote in the poll below. We’re going to continue to run these daily polls until the first day of the draft, so continue to visit if you want to participate.
