Nothing official from the NFL, yet, on when the schedule will be announced

“Soon” can mean a lot of things it just depends on your perspective. In today’s microwave society, soon is rarely soon enough and so the anticipation of the 2024 NFL schedule release has started to create some anxiety about when it will happen.

For the Cleveland Browns and their fans, the biggest question is whether they will be traveling to London, England to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this year. They were not chosen for the game in Brazil but could still be traveling internationally.

The Browns set of opponents could lead to some interesting primetime games in 2024:

At Home

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Cincinnati Bengals
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Dallas Cowboys
  • New York Giants
  • Miami Dolphins

On the Road

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Cincinnati Bengals
  • Denver Broncos
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Philadelphia Eagles
  • Washington Commanders
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • New Orleans Saints

There have been rumors that the schedule would be released on Thursday, the second week of May, but there has been no announcement of such by the NFL. Others have speculated that next week, the third week of the month, is more likely.

Providing no clarity, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay says it is “coming out soon:”

Update:

A new report is out that the league has informed teams that the schedule release will not be until next Thursday:

Having reached out to sources around the league and Browns, there is a lot of uncertainty right now about when the schedule will come out. We will keep you up to date as we know more.
