The LIV Golf players dominated the field, with three of them occupying the top three positions and five others finishing in the top ten.

Ortiz started the final round tied for the lead with Louis Oosthuizen but pulled away with a 65 (-7), carding seven birdies between holes 6 and 14, while the South African managed only a 69 (-3, four birdies, one bogey), finishing second with 273 (-15). Chilean Joaquin Niemann, another athlete from the Super League, claimed the third spot on the podium with 274 (-14).

32-year-old Ortiz from Guadalajara secured his first Asian Tour title, adding to his accolades which include a PGA Tour victory, three wins on the Web.com Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour), and two on the Gira de Golf Professional Mexicana, while also losing in a playoff at the LIV Golf. For his performance, he received a prize purse of $360,000 out of a total of $2,000,000.

Behind the leading trio were five players from the separatist league: Chilean Mito Pereira, tied for fourth with 275 (-13) alongside Australian Maverick Antcliff; American Peter Uihlein, sixth with 276 (-12); American Matthew Wolff, seventh with 277 (-11) tied with Japanese Takumi Kanaya and Korean Mingyu Cho. Spanish player David Puig and Australian Lucas Herbert tied for tenth with 278 (-10), the same score as Thai Prom Meesawat and another Australian Travis Smyth.

Stefano Mazzoli lost positions in the final round with an unexpected 77 (+5). Nevertheless, in his first two tournaments on the circuit, for which he secured his ‘card’ with an eighth-place finish in the Qualifying School, he has consistently performed well (31st in the previous Malaysian Open), displaying moments of strong play.

LIV Golf (/lɪv/ LIV) is a professional men’s golf tour. The name “LIV” refers to the Roman numerals for 54, the score if every hole on a par-72 course were birdied and the number of holes to be played at LIV events.[1] The first LIV Golf Invitational Series event started on 9 June 2022, at the Centurion Club near St Albans in Hertfordshire, UK. The Invitational Series became the LIV Golf League in 2023.
