Could the Giants move up to pick No. 3?
The New England Patriots, who have the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, are “open for business” at that spot, according to Eliot Wolf, who is running the Patriots’ draft in lieu of the team having an actual general manager.
That could get the attention of New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen.
The Giants have paid a great deal of attention to all of the top quarterbacks in this draft class. Most analysts believe that if the Giants, who have pick No. 6, take a quarterback with their first overall pick, the targets would be Drake Maye of North Carolina or J.J. McCarthy of Michigan, perhaps in that order.
The Chicago Bears will almost certainly select quarterback Caleb Williams with the first pick, and recent chatter has the Washington Commanders likely to select Jayden Daniels of LSU.
If the Patriots were willing to trade down and the Giants secured the third overall pick, that would give Schoen his pick of the quarterbacks most often connected to the Giants.
