Trader Howie on the move.

The Philadelphia Eagles were set to be on the clock at No. 78 (which they acquired via the Washington Commanders in the trade up for Cooper DeJean) in the 2024 NFL Draft … but they traded down with the Houston Texans.

The Texans then selected USC safety Calen Bullock.

According to one draft pick value chart, the Eagles received 209 points and surrendered 200 points. The 9-point difference is worth the value of a mid-to-late sixth-round pick. So, not a total heist by any means, but some additional value that works towards recouping what was lost in the DeJean trade.

The Eagles now have seven remaining picks in this year’s draft instead of six.
