The Philadelphia Eagles were on the clock at No. 86, which they acquired from the Houston Texans after trading down from No. 78 … only to trade down once again. This time they struck a deal with — gasp — the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers used the pick to select offensive lineman Dominick Puni.

According to one draft pick value chart, the Eagles received 164 points and surrendered 160 points. The four-point difference is worth the value of a late sixth-round pick.
The Eagles now have eight picks remaining in the 2024 NFL Draft. They’re currently set to make 10 picks in total, which is two more than they entered the draft with.
Of course, Howie Roseman is bound to make some more trades. Perhaps he’s loading up ammo to make some moves up on Day 3? Or maybe the Eagles just don’t think there’s much difference in the talent level at this point and they’d rather just take a lot of bites at the apple, so to speak.
