Rookie mini-camp set for this weekend
The New York Giants will hold their rookie mini-camp this weekend. That makes this a good time to go through the key dates of the offseason for head coach Brian Daboll’s team.
Rookie mini-camp
Friday, May 10
Saturday, May 11
This will be the first opportunity for the Giants to get their rookie class — the six draft picks, undrafted free agent signees and tryout players — on the field.
A year ago, Daboll held a pair of very light practices. He was mindful of the heavy workloads and hectic travel schedule players had endured during the buildup to the draft and did not want to physically tax them.
I would expect a similar approach this time.
