New Photos of John Cena Filming the Suicide Squad Sequel

We noted back in mid-April how John Cena was in talks to star in the Suicide Squad sequel, along with Margot Robbie, Idris Elba and others.

Cena and the rest of the cast have started filming the movie in Atlanta, Georgia at a prison, and new photos from filming has been released, courtesy of JustJared. You can see the photos below, which were taken this past Tuesday, October 15.

Cena is starring in the movie as Peacemaker.

This is a follow-up to the 2016 Suicide Squad movie, and will be directed & written by James Gunn. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, August 6, 2021.
