MXA PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: ALL-NEW EVS WEB ECLIPSE KNEE BRACES

EVS has introduced a new level of protection with their Web Eclipse Knee Braces. Featuring a floating knee cup system lined with HEX Pro impact technology, these knee braces offer a comfortable feel while maintaining top safety features. The hinge system in place makes the braces feel even more lightweight, as it allows unrestricted movement when lifting your leg, whether it’s for cornering or standing up on the straightaways. Included are adjustments for multiple degrees of bend in the hinges, protecting you from hyperextension if your knees do not want to be fully straight in the brace. The lightweight carbon fiber structure, tailored to your specific leg size, provides a secure fit. Additionally, the quick-release clips make it easy to take on and off the brace after setting it up for your specific size. These knee braces are suitable for first-time users, offering sensitivity where you don’t feel like you are wearing anything bulky on your legs. EVS offers these braces at $950.00 for the pair.

EVS WEB ECLIPSE BRACE IN USE

EVS has taken steps to ensure their braces are tailored for the rider, providing a comfortable fit. A key feature is the slight bend in the brace at the tibia region. Instead of a straight cuff that wraps around the lower leg, which can cause pressure points when riding, EVS introduced a slight bend at the tibia. This design enhances comfort and adds a safety aspect by reducing the risk to the shin from being hit by a straight brace. The lining of the brace includes a useful gripping material to prevent the braces from slipping down during a ride. Additionally, the quick-release straps allow for easy application and removal after adjusting to your size. The Velcro used for the initial fitting is designed to sit seamlessly, preventing it from catching when putting on and taking off pants. This allows for a one-time setup tailored to your leg size for continued use.

INSIDE THE BOX

Included with the knee braces are various pad sizes to adjust the side-to-side fitment of the brace, as well as multiple joints to add to the hinges. These joints can be added to reduce the outward flex of the brace, limiting forward mobility if your knee does not bend outward as far. The Web Eclipse knee braces have also been designed for easy part replacement; in the event of a crash, you can simply unscrew the damaged feature and add the replacement. Additionally, the outer cup can be removed, allowing the braces to function as everyday knee supports for other active sports or daily use, especially if you are managing an injury.
