The Monmouth University men’s tennis team defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 5-2 on Tuesday afternoon, further improving its already spectacular start to the season.

Monmouth’s win marked its fifth straight victory as a team, improving to 12-2 on the year. The Hawks will travel to St. John’s on Wednesday for an away matchup with the Johnnies. First serve at the USTA National Tennis Center is set for 1 p.m.

Monmouth opened the match with a pair of doubles wins to take the point before reeling off four straight singles wins to solidify the victory. Gabriel Berner, Gabriel Busato, Adam Hillerby and Mateo Bivol all contributed to Monmouth’s win over FDU.
