MLBB joins the Snapdragon Pro Series with $780,000 total prize pool

MOONTON’s popular MOBA, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has become the latest title in the Snapdragon Pro Series, a multi-game mobile esports tournament operated by the ESL FACEIT Group (EFG). ESL will host numerous tournaments for the title in several regions around the world, including an international tournament, as a part of this initiative. Additionally, the cumulative prize pool will amount to $780,000.

“With MLBB Esports having already begun taking root in the mainstream, our focus is on expanding our ecosystem to be even more inclusive and accessible,” said Ray Ng, the head of the esports ecosystem at MOONTON Games. “We’re delighted to team up with Snapdragon Pro Series again to offer the international MLBB community even more opportunities to watch, compete, and celebrate their passion for the game.”

Snapdragon Pro Series MLBB to bring tournaments to Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific

While MOONTON has been aggressively expanding MLBB esports with numerous regional and global tournaments, the Snapdragon Pro Series will bring even more opportunities to players in different regions. In a press release, EFG revealed that there will be separate circuits across Asia-Pacific, Europe, MENA, and Latin America.

Furthermore, the Mobile Masters, an international LAN event will also include MLBB with a $200,000 tournament. Based on the current format of other games in the Snapdragon Pro Series, the regional circuits will feed into the Mobile Masters.

EFG also said that it will be bringing an “all-new MLBB women’s league” with a $30,000 prize pool in APAC and Japan. Notably, millions of viewers are known to tune in for all-female tournaments in MLBB. The 32nd SEA Games (Women’s) MLBB, for example, peaked at more than 1.3 million viewers, per Esports Charts.

Today’s announcement comes after EFG announced a multi-year partnership with Supercell for the Brawl Stars Championship. As a part of this, ESL would produce the Brawl Stars esports ecosystem as a part of this, co-branding it with the Snapdragon Pro Series.
