Matt Hardy crashes through table in TNA return match

on

Still being a daredevil, all these years later.

Matt Hardy made his in-ring return to TNA after seven years away from the Impact Zone. The Broken One teamed with Ball of Speed and Trent The Seventh to battle The System in a trios main event at Under Siege (May 3, 2024). Hardy channeled his inner entity of violence to crash through a table.

Hardy bestowed his partners with gifts in coats of arms, or rather coats without arms. It was time to delete The System.

Those coats did the trick, because House Hardy teamwork was flowing with a triple Twist of Fate.

The big question heading into Under Siege was if TNA would use this match as a way to set up Hardy challenging Moose for the TNA World Championship. They had a few showdowns throughout the contest, such as Hardy catching Moose in the air for a cutter.

Moose flexed his muscle for a powerbomb spree on the outside. He slammed Mike Bailey and Trent Seven with powerbombs on the apron. Moose sought to add a little mustard for Hardy by bringing over the timekeeper table. That tactic backfired when Hardy connected on a flying leg drop through the wood.

That table spot effectively deleted Hardy and Moose from the finish. Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards, with help from Alisha Edwards, used sneaky tricks to outsmart Speedball Mountain. Trent was victim to a backpack stunner and a flying elbow drop combo as Eddie picked up the winning pin.

Back to the big question at hand. Hardy took out Moose, but his team was unable achieve victory. There doesn’t appear to be a case for a title shot, beyond Moose taking it personal. TNA will have to get creative if the plan is indeed to be Hardy versus Moose for the TNA World Championship.

As for why Hardy took a leap of faith, he was driven by the essence of Damascus that inhabits his vessel.

For a refresher on the Broken Universe, Damascus is an entity that is a master at creating chaos, violence, and brutality.
