Jay White defeated Tetsuya Naito at Destruction In Kobe to become the IWGP Intercontinental Title.
This achievement is particularly noteworthy because with his Intercontinental Title win, White becomes just the second wrestler to ever achieve the Triple Crown – winning the IWGP Heavyweight, Intercontinental and United States Championships. The first to accomplish the feat was Kenny Omega.
