Kingdom Come Deliverance II: ‘A Behemoth of a Game’

on

Warhorse Studios has officially revealed Kingdom Come Deliverance II, a direct sequel to the 2018 title that wowed fans worldwide. In a stunning showcase, Warhorse well and truly lifted the lid on the game that has been in development for the last few years, uncovering a vast open world, incredible combat mechanics, and an immersive story. It’s penned as a ‘good, old-school RPG’ that’s reportedly ‘a behemoth of a game’.

There’s something of a karma or crime system in the game, more dynamic events, sumptuous visuals, and countless paths to take. It’s so much deeper and more advanced than the first game, and the showcase proved how much effort Warhorse Studios has put into creating Kingdom Come Deliverance II. There’s a diverse map to explore, endless fights to win, and one of the most breathtaking visual palettes to soak up when this game releases this year.

Welcome To The Dark Ages

Kingdom Come Deliverance II looks beautiful. Despite being set in the Dark Ages, it looks stunning, bright, and colourful. Warhorse has put a lot of attention into the game’s nature, both on the flora and fauna fronts, and both the ambient sounds and the original soundtrack have been painstakingly created, curated, and composed. This is a big-budget game with an incredible foundation, and the showcase that Warhorse delivered was nothing short of mindblowing.

Yesterday, the game’s teaser trailer was leaked, but here’s the complete reveal:

There will be a slew of new weapons and mechanics in Kingdom Come Deliverance II, ranging from primitive firearms to crossbows and all manner of melee weapons. With a sandbox approach to developing the game, Warhorse has made it so that players are completely free to pursue objectives as they see fit. If you want to be a thief, go for it, but if you want to be an honourable knight wearing a heavy suit of armour, that’s your choice too.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2024.
