Englishman Kipp Popert dominated the G4D Tour at the Magical Kenya Open, clinching victory with a total of 135 (66 69, -7) strokes on the Muthaiga Golf Club course (par 71) in Nairobi, Kenya. The Magical Kenya Open, a DP World Tour event, is scheduled from February 22nd to 25th.

In the third event of the season among the eight scheduled on the circuit reserved for differently-abled players, promoted by the DP World Tour to highlight the inclusivity of golf, Tommaso Perrino, ranked sixth in the World Ranking for Golfers with a Disability (WR4GD), secured an eighth-place finish with a score of 152 (77 75, +10).
Popert, ranked number one, secured his ninth title in three years on the G4D Tour, finishing five strokes ahead of Australian Lachlan Wood, who placed second with 140 (-2) and was the winner of the Australian All Abilities Championship in December. Irishman Brendan Lawlor, ranked second, finished third with 144 (+2). American Chris Biggins secured fourth place with 145 (+3), while Spanish player Juan Postigo Arce finished fifth with 147 (+5).
The next event, the G4D Open, will take place from May 15th to 17th at the Woburn Golf Club in England.
The rules of golf constitute a set of standard norms and procedures governing the playing of the sport. They are jointly written and managed by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the governing body for golf worldwide, excluding the United States and Mexico, which fall under the jurisdiction of the United States Golf Association. A panel of experts comprised of members from the R&A and USGA oversees and refines the rules every four years. The latest revision has been in effect since January 1st, 2016. Changes to the rules of golf generally fall into two main categories: those aimed at enhancing understanding and those that, in certain cases, reduce penalties to ensure fairness. The rule book, titled “Rules of Golf,” is regularly published and also includes regulations governing amateur status. In Italy, it is the responsibility of Federgolf to oversee competitions, enforce the rules established by the R&A, ensure compliance with these norms by clubs, associations, and their members, and manage the resulting sporting justice, protecting their interests abroad.
