AEW superstar and Executive VP Kenny Omega held a Q&A on his Twitter. Topics Omega discussed were the women’s division, including his thoughts on IMPACT’s Tessa Blanchard, whether he’ll ever work for NJPW again, and how much longer he plans on wrestling in his career. Highlights are below.
On the women’s division and who could potentially be the top female star:
Still developing the face of the division, but Riho’s proven to be an inspiration to many, Shida is the complete package, and Kris has shown that she has the tools to take the div to another level.
How much longer he plans on wrestling:
I always say 5, but I’ve been saying that for close to 10 years already.
Why he’s taken a backseat role at AEW:
I lived out mostly all of my dreams during the last run I had and now a big part of my current dream is seeing a new generation thrive.
Thoughts on WrestleKingdom being two nights:
Was fun to have two incredibly large scale shows to look forward to back to back.
Someone new he’d like to face in NJPW:
(Shingo) Takagi.
If he’d ever return to NJPW:
There’s always a chance.
On the prospect of facing Tessa Blanchard in an intergender bout:
She’s great, I think the match would rock.
I rarely speak outside of shows or use social media but I’ll open the floodgates and answer some non-troll questions for the next 20 minutes or so. If there’s something you were curious about, have at it. Please be polite and/or kind or you’ll be promptly blocked.
