Keegan Bradley makes yet another driver change for start of 2024 season

on

We have our first look at the clubs that Keegan Bradley will be using for the initial part of his 2024 season.

He won the Travelers Championship in his best performance in 2023 but could be a Major threat this term.

Bradley has quite a diverse bag with an eclectic assemblage of brands and club types.

The newest addition to his bag is the brand-new TaylorMade Qi10 driver with his loft choice being the 9.5 degree club.

Encased in a sleek and self-assured exterior, the Qi10 driver has been thoughtfully designed to assist players in increasing forgiveness and distance.

With the Qi10 range of drivers, TaylorMade aims to maximise forgiveness by utilising sophisticated multi-material constructions to boost inertia.

The Qi10 replaces the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus driver in his bag for the start of the 2024 season which has already seen Bradley involved in a playoff in Hawaii.

While Bradley has now made a third driver change in as many seasons, the rest of his bag remains fairly stable.

Bradley has never been the kind of player who constantly experiment with new gear or make weekly tweaks to his setup. He would rather make changes only when they are really required or when he discovers something that works better.

In winning the 2022 ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP, he utilised a combination of Srixon irons (ZX5s for the 3-5 iron and ZX7s in the 6-PW) but he now utilises ZX7s for the rest of his iron set (4-PW) and a new Srixon ZX MKII driving iron for his 3-iron.

When everything else is equal, Srixon’s ZX7 irons are narrower in the sole, more compact in the head, and have thinner toplines than the ZX5 versions. A steady ball striker like Bradley would find that the ZX7 irons offer marginally better spin and trajectory control than the ZX5 irons, albeit giving up some overall forgiveness in the process.

He has kept hold of the Odyssey Versa Jailbird putter that has helped make him one of the PGA Tour’s better putters.
