Massimiliano Allegri’s fate would be sealed. As explained by The Gazzetta dello Sport, the leaders of Juventus Turin would like to continue their collaboration with the Italian coach at the end of the 2022-2023 season. Despite rumors of a possible arrival on the bench of French manager Zinedine Zidane, the Piedmont club should confirm the 55-year-old coach, in office since May 2021 and whose contract with the Bianconeri expires in June 2025.

“The club will make decisions”

In the press room this Saturday, on the eve of the trip of his players to Bologna counting for the 32nd day of Serie A, the Transalpine was invited to respond to speculation surrounding his situation with the Turinese. The former AC Milan technician calms things down and says nothing one way or the other. “My confirmation is the club’s problem and not mine. When I came back, I knew that the problems were there and that it would be difficult to regain victory (…) If at the end of the season, the work is not satisfactory, the club will make decisions, because the coach is responsible.”

Third in the standings two lengths from Lazio Rome, Adrien Rabiot’s teammates want to save their season by grabbing a ticket for the next edition of the Champions League. An unexpected goal a few weeks ago after the withdrawal from the standings by 15 points, a decision since canceled. Eliminated by Inter Milan in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup, Juventus Turin remains on the other hand in the race on the European scene, with a double confrontation against the Spaniards of Sevilla FC in the semi-finals of the Europa League, after having knocked out the Portuguese from Sporting Portugal in the quarter-finals.
