Joaquin Niemann’s surprising reaction to praise from Rory McIlroy

on

Joaquin Niemann is one of the golfers who has been particularly shining lately. Golf fans and experts are impressed with the performances of the young Chilean. Niemann is one of those who joined LIV Golf and did not expect to play in the Majors this year, which is also his biggest dream. However, with his persistence and good performances, the Chilean received invitations to the Masters and the PGA Championship.

A few days ago, Talor Gooch made interesting statements about McIlroy and his potential victory at the Masters. Gooch believes that if Rory were to win the Masters, it wouldn’t have as much significance as it once did, considering that many great golfers no longer have the right to compete there.

It didn’t take long for Rory McIlroy to respond; He pointed out that Gooch could follow Niemann’s example, who “has been chasing his tail around the world.”

“Joaquin Niemann got an invite and I played with him a few weeks ago in Dubai, and he went down to Australia and won. He was in Oman last week. He has been chasing his tail around the world to get this, play his way into August or show enough form to warrant an invite. I don’t know if the same can be said for Talor.”

Such comments surely pleased Niemann, given that Rory is one of the best golfers in the world, with amazing achievements behind him.

In an interview with Golf Magic, Niemann emphasized that he is surprised by the current happenings in the world of golf. It’s somewhat challenging to keep up with all the changes. Niemann is one of the luckiest individuals who will have the chance to play in two important Majors. Certainly, he feels a great amount of happiness that is hard to describe.

“It’s pretty crazy what’s happening right now in the world of golf,” he said.

Niemann pointed out that he was fortunate to play alongside McIlroy. Playing with such a player is truly a great opportunity to see how you fare and assess your capabilities. Niemann had the chance to show his golfing skills and impress everyone during that time.

“I had a chance to play with him in Dubai, on the DP World, and it was a nice day.

We both played amazing. Obviously, I was leaving a message. I went to Australia [and won there] and my goal was to get into the majors.

And I think it was [a big help] to play amazing golf too.” – he said.

Joaquin Niemann: It was pretty good what Rory said about me

Niemann seems not surprised by the comments from the Northern Irishman, considering that he played an outstanding tournament and demonstrated his quality to everyone.

“It was pretty good what Rory said about me. But at the end of day I’m super happy that I got an invite to the Masters and the PGA. “

For him, the most important thing is that he will have the opportunity to play in the Masters and the PGA.

The Chilean golfer believes that several more players probably deserve the same chance, but he is grateful to those who provided him with this opportunity, which he will strive to make the most of. Niemann has the imperative to show global golf fans that he is a rising star and one of the toughest opponents for everyone.

A 27-year-old golfer has expressed optimism that a change could occur in the near future. A merger is an option that suits him and many other golfers. For several months, the PGA Tour and PIF have been trying to find common ground. Negotiations have been prolonged, but those who want to see golf in its best state do not lose hope that the merger between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour will indeed happen. A system where all can coexist is what Niemann desires.

Uncertain future of the PGA Tour and LIV Golf: What will happen?!

It is difficult to make predictions about the future of golf and what LIV Golf and the PGA Tour will decide. There is also a perspective that believes a merger is no longer necessary, especially considering the SSG investment, and that the PGA Tour can thrive on its own. Opinions are divided.

While such developments may attract attention in the sports world, they can also evoke aversion among older fans of the sport. Nevertheless, judging by statements, Niemann and most of his colleagues hope for the chance to play together in Major tournaments.

LIV Golf still does not have the right to OWGR points, and it remains uncertain if they will acquire them in the near future. Niemann is fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in at least two Majors.
