Once again, Joaquin Niemann has achieved a remarkable feat, marking his third victory in the last three months. The Chilean golfer triumphed in Saudi Arabia at the LIV Golf Jeddah, the third tournament of the 2024 Arab Super League. Following his win at the opening event in Mexico, the 25-year-old from Santiago del Chile secured another victory. Furthermore, he had previously claimed the ISPS Handa Australian Open on the DP World Tour in December. Adding to his impressive streak, Niemann came close to victory at the Dubai Desert Classic and the International Series in Oman on the Asian Tour.

Recently awarded an invitation to the Masters, Niemann dominated in Jeddah with a total score of “-17” strokes, comfortably surpassing South Africans Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartze, both tied for 2nd place with “-13” strokes. Not even Jon Rahm could challenge him this time. The Spanish golfer, ranked number 3 in the world and the highest-paid golfer on the planet, finished in 5th place with “-11” strokes in the individual competition, trailing behind American Bryson DeChambeau as well. Niemann’s victory earned him four million dollars, while the team competition was won by the “Crushers GC” team led by DeChambeau.

Notably, Niemann held the number one ranking in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for an impressive 44 weeks, from May 2017 to April 2018, during which he was also the top-ranked amateur golfer.
Originally intending to play collegiate golf at the University of South Florida, Niemann encountered obstacles due to his TOEFL scores and thus turned professional.
