Bia Mesquita is set to make her long-awaited MMA debut on June 15 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, when she faces Jorgina Ramos in a bantamweight contest at Spaten Fight Night.

Multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed the news to MMA Fighting following an initial report by Graciemag.

The card is headlined by a boxing match between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, and also features Silva’s son Kalyl Silva and 2020 Olympic gold medalist Hebert Conceição.

Mesquita was recently inducted to the IBJJF Hall of Fame after claiming 10 world titles, including two in the absolute division, plus Pan-American and European championships under the IBJJF banner and major jiu-jitsu titles in Abu Dhabi.

The ADCC gold medalist joined American Top Team in Florida and announced her transition to MMA after submitting ex-UFC champion Miesha Tate in a grappling match in December 2022. Recently, she submitted one-time UFC title challenger Jennifer Maia at ADXC.

Ramos competed once under MMA rules, fighting to a majority draw this past March in Rio de Janeiro. A blue belt in jiu-jitsu, “Jogo” has previous experience in boxing and kickboxing.
