Jim Ross On What He Thinks Of Vince McMahon As A Person

on

During a recent episode of “Grilling JR”, Jim Ross revealed that although they may be part of competing companies now, he holds Vince McMahon in very high regard. Here’s what he had to say:

On His Friendship With Vince:

Well, look. Vince has overachieved his entire life in a big, big way. I got to know him very well. I still have great respect for him. He knows in his heart that if he needed me for anything that strong, that serious, as a personal favor, or just as his friend, that I would be there. No doubt. And the same goes for me. I know that in my personal life, if something occurred that I needed to reach out to him, I know he would respond quickly and positively. So I always believe that he has a very good heart in that respect.

On Vince Being There For Him When His Wife Died:

Can’t tell you all the things he did and said, offered when Jan got killed. That means a lot to me, folks. It’s more than getting pissed off at somebody because they have a three-hour Raw and it shouldn’t be in your view.

On Vince The Person:

I think he’s a workaholic. I think he’s obsessed with the company he’s built. I think he wouldn’t say it, but there’s nothing really more important or — more prominent. More important may be the wrong word. But more prominent, it seems to me like, than WWE in his life. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. But I think it’s a thing that is there. He’s hard-headed. We’ve had some of the most amazing conversations when we were by ourselves than I’ve ever had with any other human being in my life. So it’s just the fact that I figured out how to communicate with him, and he me. And we always did better, the two of us.
