It looks like WWE SmackDown is moving back to USA Network earlier than we thought

Over seven months ago, WWE announced a new TV deal to bring SmackDown back to the USA Network “beginning October 2024.” WWE’s current deal for SmackDown on FOX began in October 2019, so October 2024 seemed like a logical endpoint for the 5 year contract.

Well, it turns out that SmackDown is actually making the move on September 13, at least according to the following tweet from USA Network:

“Starting in September and through the end of 2024, @USANetwork will serve as the exclusive linear home of @WWE Monday Night RAW and @WWE SmackDown, which returns on September 13.”

September 13 is a Friday, so it also appears that the show will remain on that day each week on the USA Network rather than changing to a different day of the week.

We learned yesterday that WWE Raw will remain on USA through the end of 2024, before the new Netflix deal kicks in beginning January 2025. That’s why the above tweet refers to USA Network as the “exclusive linear home” of those shows in the final months of the year. Meanwhile, NXT will be moving over from USA to The CW in October.

Are you ready for SmackDown’s move to the USA Network in about four months, Cagesiders?
