Here are the results of the top ten mock draft picked by the fans at Windy City Gridiron!

If you saw the article last week, I brought back the Interactive Top Ten Mock Draft that we did last year in which the fans mocked Paris Johnson to the Chicago Bears. Right position, wrong player. How will the fans do this year?

There were some interesting developments during this draft. The two biggest things are that one of the QBs slides out of the top six and the decision that the Chargers made impacted the rest of the draft. If you want to see how the picks went down on Twitter, you can see that by clicking on the tweet below.

How will the fans do this year? Let’s see how this played out.

1. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams, USC QB, 97.6% of the vote

This shouldn’t be surprising at all and none of the other three options even received 1% of the vote. The Bears have the first pick in the draft and it’s the right year to have it. Ryan Poles did one heck of a job landing this pick in last season’s trade with the Carolina Panthers and the Bears may have found their first true franchise QB of the last 75 years.

2. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels, LSU QB, 51.0% of the vote

This one was pretty close. Daniels won the vote with just over half the vote, but Drake Maye was close for most of this competition and settled with 44.8% of the vote. The Commanders seemingly have been on Daniels for a while, as Adam Schefter has consistently said that he believes this will be the pick the last few weeks, but the Commanders are still bringing QBs into their facility and still may not have made up their mind.

3. New England Patriots: Drake Maye, UNC QB, 72.0% of the vote

With Daniels off the board, the fans were pretty certain that Maye would be the pick here. While that’s certainly the consensus right now, it’ll be interesting to see how New England decides to handle the QB this year. They have veteran Jacoby Brissett, and they do not have the offensive infrastructure to support a rookie QB. If they select Maye, they may try to sit him for the entire 2024 season.

4. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison, Jr, Ohio St WR, 59.5% of the vote

The trade-down option received strong support garnering 36.5% of the vote, but to no surprise, the fans think Harrison will be the pick. Harrison is about as close to a can’t-miss prospect as we’ve seen in the last several years and Kyler Murray desperately needs a top-notch target to utilize and he lands exactly that with Harrison.

5. LA Chargers: Joe Alt, Notre Dame OT, 37.8% of the vote

Yes, Alt wins this vote with just 37.8%. Trade down checked in second with 36.8% and Malik Nabers was third at 22.4%. This has been a popular place to mock the Minnesota Vikings to come up and trade for a QB, but in what was the closest vote by far, the fans determined that Jim Harbaugh is too enamored with Alt and decided to stick and pick rather than trade down to 11.

6. NY Giants: Malik Nabers, LSU WR, 49.4% of the vote

Nabers won this vote fairly comfortably, but JJ McCarthy did receive strong support from the fans, finishing with 37.0%. The Giants certainly will be looking to pivot off Daniel Jones soon, but it won’t be this year as Nabers explosive play-making ability is desperately needed in the Big Apple for an offense that, quite frankly, doesn’t have a playmaker.

7. Minnesota Vikings: JJ McCarthy, Michigan QB, 42.2%, 86.2% of the vote

In what was a surprise, the fans determined that in this scenario, the Tennessee Titans would trade the pick and drop to 11. There were two votes to determine this pick. The first option was for the Titans, where fans voted at a 42.2% clip to trade the pick. Selecting Olu Fashanu finished second with 31.9% of the vote. Once the pick was traded we gave the fans the options of who would trade up and for whom. The Vikings coming up for McCarthy cruised with a whopping 86.2% of the vote.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, Alabama Edge, 84.3% of the vote

The fans ran the card in here for the Falcons. Turner smashed the competition as this is practically been a universally mocked pick. Turner is the consensus top edge in the class, he fits a need for the Falcons and he fits their defensive scheme quite well.

9. Chicago Bears: Rome Odunze, Washington WR, 80.2% of the vote

It’s no surprise that when the fans seemingly have an overwhelming favorite for the 9th pick and that player is still on the board that he cruises to a victory. Bears fans get their wish and select Odunze at nine to pair with Caleb Williams. It gives Williams 3 legitimate options at WR with two legitimate TE pass catchers as well. Just another boost in creating an ideal landing spot for Caleb Williams.

10. New York Jets: Brock Bowers, Georgia TE, 60.7% of the vote

Rounding out the top ten, the Jets take the top tight end on the board for Aaron Rodgers. The Jets spent on their offensive line during free agency and Rodgers could certainly use some more weapons to throw to. Bowers’ skills should translate well to the NFL and he should have a pretty successful rookie season as opposed to many tight ends that take some time to develop.
