Here’s the latest on Drew Gulak’s status with WWE following Ronda Rousey accusation

Earlier this month, when Ronda Rousey was discussing a culture of inappropriate behavior in WWE, she accused Drew Gulak of “grabbing the string of my sweatpants” backstage in 2022. Gulak responded by saying it was a “complete accident.”

Rousey and Gulak both said the incident had witnesses, so it was pretty clear that WWE would have to talk to those people as part of its investigation into the matter. Gulak has since been scrubbed from WWE NXT and written off TV with a mafia hit angle, which could lead to some inferences about the results of WWE’s investigation.

The latest update on this situation comes from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, who says WWE’s investigation was inconclusive:

“So what I was told was that there was no conclusive thing, that the witnesses were not conclusive and it was one person’s word against the other. But you know, Gulak was bad publicity, so he got whacked.”

Meltzer has spoken with people in WWE who believe it’s just a matter of time until Gulak is fired:

“I don’t know that he’s been fired. But when I ask it’s like, well if he hasn’t been he probably will be. I mean, it’s not looking good for him.”
