When I was little, I promised myself that I would have a job in line with football. Very quickly, I realized that my feet would not be enough to take me where I wanted so journalism became obvious.

Recruited a year ago for €15m, Romain Faivre never won at OL despite some interesting performances. Even more in the hard since the arrival of Laurent Blanc, the French attacking midfielder asked to leave Lyon. What the Gones coach confirmed at a press conference.

While the transfer window opened its doors on January 1, theOL only brought in one player: Dejan Lovren. Only 8th in Ligue 1, Lyons will have to move quickly if he wants to recover in the second half of the season. For the moment, the Gones struggling, as evidenced by the last defeat at home against Strasbourg. If recruits are expected, there could also be departures from OL.

Faivre wants to leave OL

Notably Romain Faivre. Arrived last winter for 15M€, the former player of Brest showed great things, even if he never managed to impose himself definitively. Substitute since Laurent Blanc is the coach, Romain Faivre wasn’t even in the group to face Strasbourg. A departure is taking shape as the French technician explained at a press conference.

“He is not happy in Lyon”

Individual interests must not take precedence over collective interests. I spoke with Romain Faivre. I adore him, he’s not happy at Lyon, we have to find a solution, but it’s hard. There is a contract, there is a club that has bet a lot on Romain. It’s not that simple for a club. We are halfway through the season, we think that this kind of reflection will happen at the end of the season and it happens after five months. There have to be solutions that make everyone happy. (…) Romain wants to leave, you know that. It’s difficult to retain a player who is not happy at Lyon. We can change things, but it requires a lot of desire from both parties. I tried (to revive him), but there are other players. You can’t just focus on one player “, declared Laurent Blanc in remarks relayed by Foot Mercato. It remains to be seen by whomOL will replace it…
