Guilty Gear Strive’s Next DLC Will be A.B.A

on

Guilty Gear Strive is one of the biggest fighters. Over a year where we’ve seen major new releases for most major series, Strive has managed to stay not only relevant but considerably bigger than most of the new releases. Part of its enduring popularity might be down to all of the DLC support that the game has released. We’ve just received confirmation of the next character due to come to the game, A.B.A will be the DLC fighter next up for GGS.

This weekend is a big one for Guilty Gear Strive fans. We’re already into the Arc World Tour Finals. These are the conclusion to a year’s worth of Guilty Gear competitive events. During the pre-show though, we’ve gotten a big announcement for what’s coming next with Strive. The next DLC character has been confirmed, along with a new stage that’ll be coming too.

A.B.A. Announced as the Next DLC Fighter

The DLC fighter for Guilty Gear Strive has been announced during the pre-show, with a small trailer to show them off. The teaser showed that the new character is going to be A.B.A. They’ll be arriving next to the title alongside a new stage, called Fallen Prayer.

Like a few characters in Guilty Gear Strive, A.B.A has a more complicated backstory. They were first created artificially, before being taken by the military. They wield a key-shaped weapon which is sentient. This will be a big part of their move set once they’re added into Guilty Gear Strive.

So far, the DLC characters in Strive have proven pretty popular. Characters like Brigette are among the most recognizable of all Guilty Gear Strive fighters. A.B.A already looks like they have a particularly interesting move set from this small trailer. We’ll have to wait a little longer to get hands-on and see how they really play though.
