GRID and Ubisoft Partner to Produce ‘Rainbow Six Siege Data Portal’

on

GRID and Ubisoft have revealed the Rainbow Six Siege Data Portal, the first product of its kind in the R6 esports ecosystem. The ‘R6DP’ is a one-stop shop for every ounce of data emanating from Rainbow Six Siege’s competitive landscape, with GRID utilising its best-in-class data generation and analysis tools to produce valuable statistics and evaluations. The tool, which was built in collaboration between Ubisoft and GRID, is free to use and will provide pro teams with invaluable data and insights.

The R6 Data Portal joins a star-studded lineup of similar platforms at GRID, namely the VALORANT Data Portal and the League of Legends Data Portal. As esports becomes much more structured, organisations are becoming data-driven, and GRID works to empower professionals, publishers, and organisers, providing them with the data they need to succeed.

Proud Partnership

GRID is one of the most recognisable names in esports, having been founded in 2018 and expanding non-stop since then. This latest leap has seen GRID partner with Ubisoft, a collaboration that was spoken highly of by GRID’s Founder and CEO, Moritz Mauer:

‘Rainbow Six Siege is such a highly tactical game where in-game data access is critical for teams to employ the best strategies. We’re proud to be partnered with Ubisoft on their journey to create incredible esports experiences and provide technology to enhance the competition through access to the official match data for their professional teams.’

Ahead of the upcoming BLAST R6 Manchester Major, which is due to take place in May, organisations will be able to take advantage of the Rainbow Six Siege Data Portal. They’ll have an analytics console, downloadable data files, and end-to-end documentation wrapped up and delivered neatly as an automated, enhanced platform. It’s the first time in Rainbow Six history that a product like this has been introduced, and it rises off the back of a deal that was signed between GRID and Ubisoft in November 2023.

In a statement, David Parent of the Global Esports Business Development team at Ubisoft said:

‘Providing our professional teams with access to accurate, reliable data is a key step towards building a data-driven ecosystem for R6 Esports.  We’re thrilled to partner with GRID on the establishment of official BLAST R6 data assets and we can’t wait to see our professional teams use the R6 Siege Data Portal to elevate their play.’

Recently, Rainbow Six Siege’s esports ecosystem has gone from strength to strength. From positive, community-led updates to the game’s core experience to a record-breaking Six Invitational in Sao Paulo, Rainbow Six has shown that age is but a number. It has been almost a decade since Rainbow Six Siege was released, and it seems like there’s no slowing down Ubisoft’s flagship multiplayer shooter.
