Grading the 2023 Broncos’ season

Here is how Broncos Country graded the Denver Broncos 2023 season. It’s an overall grade and given how close they were to .500, the final grade is probably spot on.

In our SB Nation Reacts survey last week, one of the questions we asked was how you graded the Denver Broncos 2023 season. Not a single person voted an ‘A’ and I would have expected at least one Las Vegas Raiders fan to troll that poll, but apparently they couldn’t bring themselves to do such a thing.

I fully expected most fans to fall in the ‘C’ or ‘D’ range and that is where things went. If we ran a mean then we’d likely end up in the ‘C-’ range, which is exactly where they should be with an 8-9 finish. Not quite .500 but not a 10-loss team either.

While under 50% is technically a ‘F’ in academia, I think in NFL terms the win/loss records is a little less strict. It might be different for a lot of you, but I see the overall season grades on record to be more like this:

  • A = 12+ wins
  • B = 10-11 wins
  • C = 8-9 wins
  • D = 6-7 wins
  • F = 0-5 wins

That’s how I ended up deciding to vote ‘C’ for the Broncos 2023 season. Where did you land on grading the Broncos season? Share your grades and reasoning in the comments section below.
