And the nightmare for the Ajacciens continues since the club was placed in compulsory liquidation by the Ajaccio commercial court on Monday, according to theAFP. A sanction which entails “the stoppage of the championship for our National 3 as well as our seniors from Regional 2”had posted the GFCA on its Facebook page on January 23.
As a reminder, on December 20, the commercial court opened receivership proceedings after noting the state of cessation of payments by the Corsican club. At the end of November, Johann Carta, president of Gazélec Ajaccio, was also remanded in custody for extortion, fraud, money laundering in an organized gang and criminal association.
