From uniforms to Zach Wilson, Broncos Country is in big-time reaction mode

Some like it, some don’t. Some love it.

For the beginning of Draft Week, there sure was a lot of Non-Draft Talk from Broncos Country on Monday.

That’s because new uniforms were revealed – including a kickass throwback – followed by news that Zach Wilson is indeed coming to Denver (despite all my histrionics a month ago over the rumor).

Who can think about the Draft when you’ve got opinions on those blockbusters to dole out?

Wilson in Orange and Blue too

Zach Wilson – of the younger, blonder, MILF hunter variety – will be a Bronco next year.

As much as I don’t love the idea, it’s not a bad move by the Broncos…as long as it is NOT Plan A for quarterback.

Broncos reveal new uniforms to mixed reactions

Just before breaking news of a new quarterback, Broncos revealed the much-anticipated uniform changes. After a few leaked images over the weekend, the actual uniform is far better than predicted.

It’s nothing special in my opinion, but it’s fine.

“Fine” seems to describe most of the reactions.

Of course, some fans (or former players, even) actually seem to like them. A lot.

Orange Crush Throwback is a kickass update

But one thing on Monday was a resounding success.

From the Broncos’ reveal video featuring Pat Surtain stepping back into the 70s and meeting Randy Gradishar to the throwback features of the era on every promo, the tribute to the 1977 Denver Broncos is divine.

“Bringing back the classic uniforms celebrating the 1977 team and the Orange Crush defense is just a great honor to us who played during that era,” Gradishar told DenverBroncos.com on Monday. “That was an exciting time for the state of Colorado as we put the Broncos on the map. Hopefully, we can renew that kind of history and make our way back to the Super Bowl.”

With the old-school D on the helmet and the oversized white numbers outlined in blue on the orange jersey, this combo is magical.

Former Broncos’ No Fly Zone member agrees.

A player from another era was quite fond of them.

Even an opponent loved them.
