Morgan’s versatility makes him a welcome addition to the Packers’ offensive line.

We have a new member of the Green Bay Packers after round one of the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday, as the team selected Arizona tackle Jordan Morgan with the 25th pick. The Packers will add a whole host of additional newcomers to the roster over the next 36 hours, but Morgan has the distinction of being that first-round selection and the first offensive lineman the Packers have chosen in round one since 2011.

Morgan tore his ACL late in the 2022 season, and he made the decision to return to Arizona for a final year in 2023. That decision clearly paid off, as he made it back for the Wildcats’ week 2 game and made first-team All-Pac 12 before becoming a first-round draft pick.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said that he thinks Morgan can play either tackle or guard on either side, giving the team yet another versatile player as the team looks for its best combination of five players up front — whatever that looks like.
