The Patriots re-signed edge rusher Josh Uche.

As for nickel cornerback news, the Packers re-signed Keisean Nixon to a 3-year deal. He’s also an All-Pro returner.

The Colts made Kenny Moore the highest-paid nickel in the NFL. Moore’s deal was for three years and $30 million.

Kyle’s update, Tuesday, 11:52 a.m. PT: NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported that Niners free agent pass rusher Chase Young has visits set up this week with the Titans, Saints, and Panthers. The 49ers are hopeful that Young signs a deal big enough to net them a comp pick in return.

Derrick Henry signed a two-year deal worth $16 million to join Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.

Speaking of the Ravens, free agent linebacker Patrick Queen is switching sides and signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The New York Giants quarterback room consists of Daniel Jones and now Drew Lock.

Shaq Barrett signed a one-year deal worth up to $9 million with the Miami Dolphins.

Tight end Mike Gesicki is going to the Bengals on a one-year deal worth $3.25 million.

Former Bears wide receiver Darnell Mooney is signing a three-year, $39 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

Kyle’s update, 5:35 p.m. PT: Jacoby Brissett is headed back to the New England Patriots on a one-year deal worth $8 million that can reach up to $12 million with incentives. Brissett is good enough to start.

New England also re-signed OL Michael Onwenu to a 3-year deal worth $57 million.

The Seahawks have signed DT Leonard Williams to a three-year deal worth $64.5 million. Seattle also re-signed tight end Noah Fant to a two-year deal worth $21 million.

Former Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler is headed to Washington. Adam Peters gets a versatile running back.

The Chargers signed Gus Edwards to a two-year deal worth $6.5 million.

The Titans gave center Lloyd Cushenberry a four-year deal worth $50 million.

After losing Darnell Savage to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, the Green Bay Packers gave former New York Giants safety Xavier McKinney a $68 million deal that gives him $25 million in Year 1.

Patrick’s update, 12:30 p.m. PT: Robert Hunt was linked to the 49ers on a couple of occasions this season. But, based on the deal he just signed with the Carolina Panthers — a 5-year, $100 million deal — he was never going to be in the Niners price range.

Kyle’s update, 11:50 a.m. PT: The Atlanta Falcons are giving Kirk Cousins a four-year, $180 million contract. The Falcons will be challengers to the 49ers moving forward.

Saquon Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting is headed to the desert to play with the Arizona Cardinals.

• The Minnesota Vikings signed Houston Texans edge rusher Jonathan Greenard to a four-year, $76 million deal.
• The Tennessee Titans signed former Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard
• D’Andre Swift signs a two-year deal with the Chicago Bears for $16.5 million
• The Buffalo Bills signed left tackle Dion Dawkins to a contract extension, making him one of the league’s highest-paid tackles. It’s a three-year extension worth $60.5 million.
• The Indianapolis Colts gave wide receiver Michael Pittman a three-year, $70 million deal with $46 million guaranteed.
• The Philadelphia Eagles made Landon Dickerson the highest-paid guard in the NFL. It’s a 4-year extension worth $84 million.

The fun is already beginning in the NFL as teams are beginning to make deals. The San Francisco 49ers made a surprise cut when they released Arik Armstead on Sunday night.

At the NFL Combine, there were rumors that Russell Wilson would sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That rumors became fact on Sunday night:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter framed it like Wilson is signing a “prove it” deal with the Steelers. He’ll compete against Kenny Pickett for the Pittsburgh QB purgatory spot to continue for another season.

• That wasn’t the only quarterback news from Sunday, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave Baker Mayfield a three-year deal worth $100 million with $50 million guaranteed.
• The Chicago Bears agreed to a two-year deal with former Titans and Eagles All-Pro safety Kevin Byard, worth a $15 million base.
• Former Niners CB Isaiah Oliver agreed to terms with the New York Jets on a one-year deal.
• On Saturday, the Denver Broncos traded wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns.
