A final cheat sheet for typical Green Bay Packer picks.

Draft week has arrived and with it all of the asinine smokescreens. Thankfully, with Green Bay enjoying a very successful 2023, they are not a part of any of that, allowing APC to focus on the more mundane, but frankly more important, storylines of draft season.

The first release of my thresholds big board came a few weeks ago, and there have been some changes in the meantime. From a testing perspective, nothing has changed. By the time of first writing, everyone who would test at some point during this cycle had. I was a little concerned about having to update Brock Bowers and Amarius Mims, but both players just did positional drills and opted out of testing after just rehabbing from injuries.

There has been some movement on the big boards, and I’ve also changed my big board source. For the first iteration, I used the NFL Mock Draft Database, which is a quite impressive resource. It pulls in data using 181 big boards, over 1,300 first-round mock drafts, and nearly 1,300 team-based mock drafts. There’s an overwhelming amount of data that goes into it, but I ended up using a different source for the final board. This is not any type of slight on the NFL Mock Draft Database, which I still think is the premier consensus board for much of the year.

The final big board I used to construct this is made by Jack Lichtenstein, who actually was a winner at the 2022 NFL Big Data Bowl. This big board uses a much more narrow sample, using big boards from 16 of the biggest media outlets for draft coverage including The Athletic, Bleacher Report, CBS, ESPN, PFF, The Ringer, and Yahoo! Sports. I don’t think one big board is necessarily more valuable than another, but I was inclined to narrow my scope to a smaller subset of boards as the draft got closer to weed out potentially less serious data points.

From a macro perspective, very little changed. Most tier movements reflect players that were just on one side of a line or the other a few weeks ago. With that, here is your final Packers Thresholds Big Board for the 2024 NFL Draft:
