WCG’s lead draft analyst breaks down one of Chicago’s newest UDFAs.

The Chicago Bears have signed James Madison defensive lineman as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft.

Kromah started off his collegiate career at Rutgers, but it was when he transferred to James Madison that he really took off. His 2023 campaign was tremendous, having finished the season with 10.0 sacks, 19.5 tackles for a loss, and a forced fumble.

A first-team All-Sun Belt member in 2023, Kromah is a versatile defensive lineman who lined up all over the place for the Dukes. Though he likely projects best as an interior defender at the next level, he’s more than capable of producing as an edge rusher, as well. He earned an invitation to the Shrine Bowl in the pre-draft process and was seen by the consensus as one of the top prospects to come out of the Sun Belt in the 2024 class.

I took to Kromah’s tape to break down what he does best and analyze what he might bring to the Bears.
