FaZe Partners with Crypto Casino in Multi-Million-Dollar Deal

on

It has just been revealed that FaZe Holdings, Inc. has partnered with Rollbit, a crypto-powered casino and betting site that was founded in 2020. This deal, which is said to be worth millions and could be ‘one of the largest sponsorship deals in the history of Counter-Strike and esports’, will see specifically FaZe Clan sponsored by the gambling platform. This is FaZe’s top-tier Counter-Strike team which is currently topping competitive charts.

However, there’s a leading caveat to this deal. Owing to the current legislature, FaZe Clan can only be sponsored by Rollbit outside of the United States. This is because of Rollbit’s licensure and foundation as a crypto-first betting site. There are typically concerns in the esports industry when organisations partner with betting firms, but given FaZe’s recent financial struggles, it’s understandable that the leadership team wants as many revenue streams as possible.

In a statement, the current President of FaZe Clan, Erik Anderson, said:

‘We believe this marks one of the largest sponsorship deals in the history of Counter-Strike and esports, as brands like Rollbit look for new ways to connect with large, highly engaged global audiences. Today’s historic announcement not only demonstrates our shared commitment to competition and excellence, but also ensures a strong and enduring program for our fans. We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with Rollbit.

FaZe’s Counter-Strike team has enjoyed a successful couple of years. Recently, the team pulled some immense wins at the CS Asia Championships, Thunderpick World Championship, and IEM Sydney, bagging a whopping $600,000 in prize money within just a few weeks. Before that, 2023 proved to be a remarkable year for the organisation, with FaZe Clan netting the number one spot in the ESL Pro League S17 and bringing home the $1 million prize from the Intel Grand Slam Season 4.

Echoing Anderson’s sentiment, the Head of Partnerships at Rollbit, Sam Norman, said:

‘Rollbit is excited to partner with FaZe Clan, the current number one Counter-Strike team in the world. We have long admired FaZe Clan and look forward to joining their global audience of over 500 million social followers. We’re looking forward to supporting and cheering for the Counter-Strike team as they aim to uphold their top global ranking throughout this year’s season. This collaboration marks another milestone for Rollbit as we continue to expand our sponsorship portfolio with other leading sports organisations.’

Whatever your standpoint is on gambling – or FaZe Clan – a milestone partnership like this is something to marvel at.
